“Thinking of The Past” by Brandon Poletti

There’s a quiet honesty running through “Thinking of The Past” that makes it easy to sit with. Brandon Poletti doesn’t rush anything here. The EP unfolds slowly, letting each track breathe, and that patience pays off.

It opens with “Craving,” which sets the tone straight away. The mix of steel guitar and softened acoustic touches gives it a warm, close feeling, like it’s being played just for you. Lyrically, it leans into longing—wanting the same love back that’s already been given. It’s simple, but it hits.

From there, the EP shifts without losing that emotional thread. “Slow Down” brings a bit more movement, but keeps that reflective edge, while “Move Away” digs into the urge to escape and start fresh somewhere else. You can feel that restlessness throughout.

“What The Future Holds” stands out for its vulnerability. It doesn’t pretend to have answers. It just sits in that uncertainty, balancing worry with a bit of hope.

Closing track “Just A Man” pulls everything together, adding piano and a heavier sense of weight. It feels like a quiet conclusion rather than a big finish.

It’s a thoughtful EP. Nothing forced, nothing overdone.
